Three new MDA grants totaling $891,156 have been awarded to research projects aimed at uncovering some of the many complex processes that underlie ALS.
MDA funding has been approved for nine new research projects focused on understanding the causes of ALS or ways to slow down the disease process

MDA has awarded nine grants totaling more than $2.5 million to fund research projects focused on uncovering the causes of, and developing therapies for, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease).
The new grants went to investigators at labs in the United States and Canada.
