In a bow to the power of the Internet to instantly inform, the MDA/ALS Newsmagazine (ALSN) is advancing to a completely online magazine, beginning in January 2013. With this new format, ALSN online will expand and grow, offering new features and ways for the ALS community to communicate and connect.
ALSN online will feature relevant and timely ALS research news articles each week on its Web page.
Offering ALSN online allows us to get information to you more quickly, and enables MDA to conserve resources for our research and services programs, while continuing to provide accurate and user friendly information that the ALS community has come to expect from the Association.
In addition to checking in with ALSN online through our Web page, interested readers can receive:
- email alerts whenever MDA posts a new ALS article; and
- monthly email summaries of all the news posted the previous month that may be of interest to the ALS community.
To receive alerts and summaries, simply make sure your local MDA office has your current email address, or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
For those who aren’t online, ALS research news will be available in the quarterly print Quest magazine, which is provided free to everyone registered with their local MDA office.
As frequent Quest readers already know, many Quest stories have great relevance to people affected by ALS, such as articles about helpful products, caregiving and strategies for daily living.
Be sure to check out the online MDA/ALS Newsmagazine — and sign up to stay informed about the latest ALS news as soon as it’s posted!
